Australian #29N Lucerne tree wood - PEN blanks new wood

Blanks size of approx 20mm square X 130mm long

 These were blanks processed/cut from a medium size Lucerne tree located at one of the fence lines of the local Golf Course. Somehow, it grown wild through one of the back fences, rarely visited, the barbed wire was embedded in the tree's lower part of the trunk, and left alone for many, many years until the wires rusted and broke and the tree had to go.

The Golf Course owner knows that I salvage any woods I can for woodwork and firewood so, I was offered the opportunity to remove the tree for them and keep all the wood.

This tree produced slightly different wood than other trees of the same species I worked with before, the wood is firmer and presents more vivid colours, something that pleased me immensely so, I hope you like it too...!
