I have called these banks BURLED as they don't have as much burl as the "Heavy" burl blanks listed on another listing.  

Corkwood trees are found in Australia as introduced species, they produce good shade and are very hardy.

I have had Cork wood for some years but never found any burls until recently at the firewood processing plant where many other trees species were purchased and salvaged from.

The logs I found are not huge but were covered with small burls that are producing some amazing pen blanks.

The burl is old and dry.
